This Sunday - Drug Wars!

I don't quite remember at what point I started to hate pills... I passed through my swallowing phase very quickly - as soon as I could swallow pills without water I knew that I needed to move on - the natural conclusion? Don't take anymore pills or drugs - with all their chemical combustions made by god knows who using god knows what.
"Don't be silly - if you take aspirin your headache will clear much faster!" Is faster better? or will the side effects ruin my appetite? make me loose my hair? am I being paranoid? - I don't want my headache to clear faster, I want it to clear naturally! I hate tasting bile on my tongue. I hate it when I walk through a day like a zombie. . Wondering what to do next - what to eat, what to drink. I hate it when my inspiration is held in by a leash and I feel as if I have a fever when I'm perfectly fine. Well maybe not perfect - I hate the pills! The pills! The awful pills!

Last Sunday - Africa Vive

Salim and I went to the Africa Vive event - there were lots of people there - it was a fun gathering with african dances, food & music. We also got to talk to Salim's friend who invited us about youth movements Buenos Aires.

Mercedes and Lupe came again, around three O'clock - I was watching an old and really really really - I mean really long Hindi movie !! We saw MI2 when they got here amongst other things - They got Muslimah a really adorable teddy dog for her birthday - and gave me a dolphin statuette ?!:)
Lupe started school on Monday and Mercedes resumes this Monday- I resume August 22nd!! :(

Wednesday - Diplomatic Circles

The International Club had an event today hosted by the wife of the Moroccan Ambassador - A Sheikh was there talking about Islam, as were the First Spouses of Saudi, Lebanon, Algeria and well - obviously Nigeria -

There were lots of other women from NGO's I think and cultural groups - some swiss, some Argentine. I had to introduce myself in spanish - thats the third time since I've been here - yes I'm keeping count!

The first ladies all had daughters, and three had daughters my age - so they want to put me in touch with them. And I also got invitations to go to their homes and interview them for IAMAGIRL - my mom smiled and wished me luck - she doens't know how/when I'm going to manage to do that, our holiday's over!! BooHooHoo!!!

The Saudi First Lady [these titles!!@#!##@] her son, and daughter came for dinner - her son's hilarious!

I watched the sixth sense for the first time - still haven't seen all of it -

I have to redesign walfam & sabrineonline, design IAMAGIRL, and a site I promised to do:) Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are singing their heads off in the parlor! lol:)

Tuesday - Carefree

I went out today - with my mom and muslimah - that was nice for a change, doing very little thinking - Now I remember what happened on sunday! It was Maitreyi's Birthday and Monday was Terah's :)

Did you ever feel that the days were melting into each other? that one could not be seperated from the other, even though they took place on different places in time?! Well for me events happen on seperate planes from the time planes - so I can remember events, but the time factor is meaningless and very blurry. I know today - yesterday makes no sense - Speed. Fast. Accelerate. BOOM! Crash.

I gotta slow down. NOW!

Monday - Beginners Luck

The days are fusing into each other, and I'm having a really really hard time keeping track of what happened when -

On Monday the son of the Saudi Ambassador came for lunch - we surfed the net for schools, talked about spanish - he's learning - watched Shrek and played Aliens VS Predators .

I normally don't play games like that - they're pointless to me, not to mention who needs the tension and competition they bring - but I digressed and played anyway - he killed me the first three times while I was figuring out the controls and how to shoot, once I figured it out - it was pure sailing all the way - I was ahead when I got booted off the network! it was what it was - beginners luck

The Jigawa state governor came for a late lunch! And he just got me revved up!! He's soooo interesting and an action oriented person - his state's website is: http://jst-ng.com/main/splash.html how cool is that!!?@@#

I showed him the gm site, and explained it to him, and he said well why don't you work with me, cos I'm trying to open a technology center for girls in Jigawa - just like that:)

He told me he was recently in Boston where he met media lab folks - he wants to connect all the schools in his state to the internet - then he went out with my dad to meet an argentine billonaire who is also a philanthropist..

My head's still reeling from the encounter:)
